Ronald E. Stiskin

Attorney Stiskin brings years of experience in estate planning and elder law to Donohue, O’Connell & Riley. Ronald has taken training in elder law mediation and especially enjoys helping seniors and their families identify their next steps, guiding his clients to their best outcome.

Ronald has developed many estate plans for families of children with disabilities, including the use of Supplemental Needs Trusts. He previously practiced special education law, advocating for the rights of children with special needs.

With forty years’ experience as a meditation practitioner, instructor, and teacher, and with a background in counseling, Ron brings insight and compassion to his approach with every client.

Ronald is a member of the Elder Law and Trusts and Estates sections of the New York State Bar Association, as well as of the Bar Association’s Committee on Issues Affecting People with Disabilities. He is also a member of the Rockland County Bar Association.

In addition to the practice of law, Ronald spent many years in the field of non-profit development, working on the public and private funding of special education programs.
